Arthur Barton Kent was the first member to join the Lodge on its consecration. He had been specially initiated by the Cadogan Lodge No 162 at the request and proposal of Bro Howard Vyse only a few days before the consecration. He was the Master of the Company in 1897.
The Lodge would also Pass him in March 1899 and he would go on to be Worshipful Master in 1902, Secretary and Treasurer for many years and be made an AGDC by Grand Lodge in 1921.
As well as being a keen Liveryman and Mason he was also a Rotarian.
