Rupert John Kenneth Turner DFC was a Second World War RAF Officer who was Mentioned and won the DFC. He served with the RAF’s Special Duty Squadrons, initially with 192 Squadron flying modified Wellingtons and Mosquitos to identify patterns in German radar wavelengths and deploy countermeasures and in tracing and countering the V rocket sites – an early electronic warfare role.
At the end of the war he joined 218 Squadron which was involved in relief operations with PoWs.
