Bro Cecil John Brymer had been to Merchant Taylors School and became a member of the London Stock Exchange.
In the HAC, Brymer volunteered for service in the South African War with the City of London Imperial Volunteer (CIV) Infantry Detachment before becoming Worshipful Master at the start of the Great War.
